Visit to RF factory

Earlier this week I finished a short break driving around SE Australia in my GT40 and visiting various friends and family: Sydney - Albury - Melbourne - Renmark - Adelaide - Hay - Sydney. The route (3500+ kms) was like a figure eight on its side with the crossover at Ouyen.

Near Albury I stopped for petrol at Howlong and a guy came up and introduced himself as Luke D. He told me he was building a Roaring Forties car and it was currently in the RF factory in Melbourne. I told him I would be visiting the factory the next day!

At the RF factory Paul was kind enough to show me around and of course I saw Luke's car. This was my first visit to the RF factory since all the recent changes and it was good to see that business seems to be going well for them.

My wife had flow to Adelaide earlier and we drove back to Sydney together - her case had to be couriered back!

Out of the city the car had a range of over 600kms - about 11 litres/100km.

Photos show: Paul at the RF factory next to Luke's car; my car crossing from Victoria into NSW over the bridge at Tooleybuc.
