MK1V production line

Hi guys

just to keep the posting standards to a high level of power to noise, I thought I would pass on these wonderful pic's from Kenny Thompsons in North Carolina, taken by Dennis Olthoff.
Apparently one of these is still for sale as one guy had to drop out, but Dennis can tell you more about it if you want it.

Regards

Chris.

It appears these are the same as the originals - honeycombed. Is that correct? Who is manufacturing them? I would be interested in knowing more about them.

Will they use the T44 transaxle like the originals?

Hi Will

These are exact re creations built by (Mike Teske and Kenny Thompson) guys that know just how the originals were built and yes they do have the T44 transaxle. Dennis Olthoff and crew will be installing the power train. If you seriously want the last one of seven contact Dennis Olthoff [email protected]

regards

Chris.

Thanks for posting these!

The suspension of the MKIV is well advanced over that of the MKI from all appearances...

What a place!

Wow.......those look like alloy 427 heads. Are the engine blocks 427s as well?

Is one of those guys Mike Teske? I've never met him in person.

They will use T44 gearboxes. They have duplicated all of the cast parts including uprights, wheels, rack and pinion, body hinges, etc. Truly a "recreation".

Fran Kress's car (his was the semi complete car shown at Road America last July) should be completed within the next month or so.

It is my understanding (as of last July) that there was one car still not spoken for.
