Hermsen GT40

does anyone in this forum have informations about a German GT40 builder called Hermsen? Those cars were build in the mid 80`s.
I have one at home and want to complete it.
Domenico, i think this is where your part begins.
pics will follow

salut Olivier,
fantastic:2thumbsup:
yes, thats it, with the difference that mine has no targa option and already a 302 Ford engine in it.
Whats missing in mine is: complete electrics, tanks, interior, cooling, shifter/linkuage, brakes/lines, axels, exhaust, and other stuff.......

Hermsen built the cars using KVA parts and making LHD for european people.
The cars are fine, properly finished, well built, but just a little slow.
A car for enthusiast meeting, not to race.

Brakes are Ford Granada, the motor of my car is a V6 sold as Ford Cosworth.
And there is also a radio Becker Mexico !!.
I do'nt know what means a radio on this car, You must drive, not sing/heard a song.

I'll put more pictures at week end, telling the real crude difference between a Hermsen and a KCC.

More info about Hermsen You can find here.

These are the pics of the Hermsen which was for sale a few months ago. It is the very same car from the magazine reports from Domenicos link ( the first ever Hermsen)

there is a lot of writing going with it...but all in German ...anyway here it is.

Ford GT40 (Replika) in absoluten Bestzustand. Der Verkaufspreis ist ein Bruchteil an Kosten die in den letzten Jahren an Technik und Verbesserungen hineingeflossen ist. by the way, what type chassis do they use...mild steel or better more corrosion fest materials?

This looks like a KVA or GTD body but the chassis looks more like something from a common touring car - maybe a german tarus or something similar. The TVA is very tough on home builts and it would be easier to pass using something that was already in compliance.

they say indeed that Hermsen build on a KVA kit, but this one has a racing chassis build bij Hermsen so the ad says.
they made it stronger, more modified, and made it better.
the underside is closed/sealed by welding and other ways? (Í'm not such good translator from tech German to English ;-) )
many other special parts so they say.

by the way, say most is based on a late KVA GT40 what chassis do they use?
mild steel and powdercoated or more corrosion free material?
