Yeah, he's definitely keeping his foot in it there. Wow.

Why all the backfiring on decel? Leaking inlet manifold?

Re: Hauling the Mail

I think this is a period car, but maybe done up to look like a Gulf-Wyer team car. Did you see the Rotoflex couplings? I don't think many of the later cars have those, unless it is a Gelscoe GT40.

Great sound from the crossover exhaust system; gives me chills. Wish they had showed more of the car itself, like the engine compartment and the interior, etc. Nice video, though.

Re: Hauling the Mail

Where's my keys? Makes one want to go out and drive the wheels off the 40. Jim you maybe right...this could be a car Claude Nabaum had built for his stable by Gelscoe. If I understand correctly he had an exact replica made of 1075. Sure looks and sounds great. WOW. Mr. Nabaum I believe has 2 originals and a Gelscoe car. Mr. Nabaum if you read this....you're my idol.

Re: Hauling the Mail

Love the echo down the concrete canyon in that last video.. Sure was a chore to get it out of the garage into the street. Hard on the clutch, arms and left leg!

Re: Hauling the Mail

Great video I watched the one of the T-70s too. Seems they were smoother sounding Chevy vs Ford? A whole lot of popping & backfireing in the corrners.
