Just got in and drived to San Marcos. Having an beer and burger in the Railyard grill. Going out to canyon lakes after we eat. Ya Hoo !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to Texas. Now take 35S to New braunfels, take 46 to Hiway 16, turn right and go to Medina, Turn left on RR337 (ranch road) and go to Leakey. You have found one of the roads called The Three Sisters, which are RR335,336, and 337 IIRC. Thes are the hilly and curvy roads in Texas.

Come back in late March when the Texas Cobra Club has their annual spring meet. Had over 130 cobras, GT-40's and Daytona's last March. Get great BBQ in Lockhard TX

John, done see ya all later. We found a spot outside of New Braunfels a few miles. We are now land owners in Texas (small hat). This will take some doing but one thing at a time.

Glad to have you, Howard!

BTW---you really should try to make the Spring Cobra Club event...it's quite a spectacle!

If you want to be introduced to some Texas "Boot-Scooting" music, try the "old mill" in Gruene, TX...very near New Braunfels, great food during the day and a history of Honky-Tonk musicians playing there that you would not believe!

It's right on the Guadalupe river, too...not bad scenery.

I second the recommendation that you get acquainted with the Bandera/Medina area, too. Kerville has one of the best "Folk Music Festivals" in the country, if you like horse racing Bandera can take care of you, and yes, the roads are very curvy and there's lots of gradient in the geography in that area...can make for some very exciting motoring. Enjoy the Medina River if you can...cobalt blue, so clear you can see the date on a dime at a depth of 10'.

Cheers!

Doug
