New fire suppression technology

While enjoying my Saturday morning breakfast I came across a new technology for fire fighting and one that has great advantages for fire suppression in a car. The product is called "Fire Ice". Others may have heard of it. This seems like a better way to fight cockpit fires than Halon or other systems that work on lack of oxygen. The Fire Ice system is unique in that it coats the surface and does not allow for rekindling of the fire. It appears to take care of all types of fires, even magnesium and electrical. This stuff is environmentally safe and you can actually eat the stuff.
The only down side I can see to using this stuff is you need a few more spray heads to insure better coverage.

I looked for other information concerning gasoline fires and couldn't find much except how retardants form a filim over the liquids. It dealt more with class A compounds such a foams etc. So other than it having an SFI 17.1 label I can't say that much about it.Here is one of the cars sponsored by Fire Ice. It must be equipped with it wouldn't you think??

Anyone know more about this stuff, or possible using it??
