Atlanta Caffiene and Exotics April 17

In Atlanta there is a periodic display of Exotics at Lenox Square Mall. It is put on by two guys that are described as "Hard core Exotic Lovers. John Fleming and Bruce Piefke, have done this for the last two years, and it has drawn big crowds. It was posted on a site I have been a member of for several years, Southeast Wheels SOUTH EAST USA WHEELS EVENTS-Car and Motorcycle Show Calendar. This site host the show schedule, Events - SOUTH EAST USA WHEELS EVENTS-Car and Motorcycle Show Calendar for the southeast and beyond. Some as far away as Texas, and north to New Jersey. This year they are using an application process for displaying one's exotic in their information about the show. See below:

Hi ,

We are excited to be kicking off the 3rd season of Caffeine & Exotics beginning Sunday April 17th. Just in case you have not heard, there are a few changes coming this season. There will only be four events this year, April 17th, June 19th, August 21st and October 16th. We will also have a couple of ‘Car Owner Only’ events with dates to be announced later.

With fewer events, we are expecting that the demand for reserved space will go up. In an effort to produce something truly unique and different from Caffeine & Octane, we need to raise the bar for what we consider exotic. I don’t know exactly where that bar will land but please don’t take offense if your car is not chosen for every event this season. In order too maintain the high standards and keep C&E viable, we have had to look for other sources of revenue in addition to sponsorship. We have decided to charge the fans attending the event a $5 admission fee. There is still no charge for car owners selected and there will still be a VIP lounge. Owners will get wristbands and a couple of additional admission tickets on request at no charge.

We have some great sponsors back this season, Motorcars of GA, Butler Tire and Wheels, Porsche Atlanta Perimeter and Magnum Collision and Repair. We are very excited to announce that Butler Tire and Wheels will be featuring an amazing Voodoo Blue Porsche 918 with a new set of HRE wheels as part of their red carpet display on April 17th.

I filled out their request form Yesterday, just as a hoot to see if I got snubbed as a replica(I listed the car as a, "1966 Ford GT-40[Replica]"). We all know that our cars are what we want them to be, and since mine is not a true replica, that is what it is to me. To my surprise I was excepted and will join the likes of Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, McLaren's and who knows what, displaying at the mall. That 918 ought to be something to behold!!
I don't know about you guys, but for me this is a step up in recognition of our brand, and I am glad to accept it. It is a chance to show what an old car can look like when maintained/updated. To tell you the truth, I would like to see an SLC there as well. Sort of a get the name out there to the public and show them what an exotic can look like. If there are any within the area, I would suggest going to the site and drop them a note. Hope any of the "local GT-40 fans" can make it. The weather is suppose to be fantastic.

Bill
