Fortyfication 114

Hi,

After reading the most recent copy of Fortyfication, I nowhere could find an explanation of the cover picture.

I haven't seen it before and I am still wondering....!

The vertical "line" under the read button is a slot cut into the metalwork. It was for cooling the fuel pumps and is a feature of the Mk.IIs that raced at Le Mans in 1966.

Regards,

If that's a slot is it to let air in or out, if so where is the other end of the duct? Would be a whole lot more efficient if it was a through duct. I presume there is some ducting exiting near the fuel pumps. Anyone got a photo of that?

Very interesting.

Joining was great and I received my Fortification in what seemed like days along with some welcome materials and a membership card. The magazine and the website alone are worth the membership fee.
