Cult Legend to Folk Law

The GT40 has just taken one step closer towards becoming a part of common folk law when a picture of the “new” GT40 was placed on the front page of Herald-Sun daily paper (Melbourne Australia)– the biggest selling daily paper in our state.

Inside was a full page picture on the cover of the Auto section with the words…

There was a picture of it in Tuesdays Australian as well, which for our overseas friends is one of our more upmarket papers.

Interestingly at was attached to an article about a "global jobs purge" in Ford itself, something according to the article Australia is not going to suffer too much from. The article had nothing to do with the GT40 or the motor show.

It seems this new yellow car is well on the way to becoming an icon already. It will be interesting to see if publicity continues after the motor show.
