Hi Chris
FYI the MK-IV has a roll cage similar to the one in your photo. It seemed to work for Mario Andretti when he hit the wall at LeMans in 1967 and walked away.

Any idea how much weight that adds? Type of tubing? Any fitment issues with the body panels or chassis?
