Grandson has arrived

Just wanted to let everyone know that our Grandson, Chance Dalton Larsen, arrived yesterday afternoon at 6:08PM. He weighed 9 lb. and 3 oz. and was 21 inches long. Mother and baby are doing fine and our son Donnie survived the ordeal also (it was touch and go for him for a bit.)

Alain, that is an affirmative there. As soon as the GT40 is complete we are going to start on a kart for our 10 year old daughter, now Aunt Alexis, so by the time C.D. gets old enough, we should be all ready for him. I got my start with cars racing 1/4 midgets just before my 5th birthday, so I feel kind of bad not getting my daughter going until now, but we'll be ready for the grandson!

I don't have access to a scanner at the moment or I'd have some pictures for you all (we've already burnt 4 rolls of film.)

Thank you everyone for the nice thoughts. Indeed, Chance is our first grandson. The name Chance is my son's mother's maiden name, so naming him Chance took care of that whole side of the family (my 1st wife, in case you were wondering.) Dalton is a family name on his mother's side. Here is a photo of my son, Donnie, and Chance. This is a shot of a life time showing Chance lifting his head up at a little over 12 hours of age. His mother, Nicole, just happened to have the camera in hand an ready.

Well done Lynn. However make sure that Chane's house is not a quiet one. Rebecca, my four month old daughter, has now been to 7 meets and V8's seem to soothe her! When the 8 litre Bentley in the pit next to us at Goodwood fired up with no exhaust mufflers, she didn't even bat an eyelid. Wendy says it was a similar noise to me going up and down the stairs, so of course she is used to it! I wonder if Chance and Rebecca will meet during the 2021 F1 season when both are going for their first championship title?
