McLaren look alike II

A few shots of my newly acquired 1970 Royale RP4 at VIR last weekend. Lotus twin cam 1600. Can also run with the 1300 block.

Gordo.

Nice looking car! What's it got for a trans? FT200? I have a friend with a box full of gears that he might parts with.

Re: McLaren look alike II

Hey Gordo how about the real cool stuff like the Spreen car. Your Royale is stunning though.

Cheers
Dennis

Re: McLaren look alike II

Yep - now that's a really cool car. A real vintage Mini that' has raced since 1967. In my care for the past 12 years. That's my Team Spreen Mini in the very capable hands of Nick Swift at VIR last week-end. He won Group B overall and posted a best lap of 2:23.7 in it. I was going to race it - but since Nick came over form the UK to help sort it out - and posted some outstanding laps we gave him the drive. I drove the Royale in Group G.
