My cav GT has Goodrich tires P295/50R15 105S (rear).These tyres have 'S' speed rating which is 112MPH. This is going to be too low for the SVA test in the UK as the car is capable of speeds well excess of this.I need ZR rated tires. Are these available for 15" wheels.

I've been searching for decent speed rated tires in 225/50/15 and 295/50/15 and there are none.

I had to settle with Dunlop T's which are T rated but that's not much better. Others are Cooper Cobra's in the same sizes.

I believe the widest, most readily available 'Z' rated 15" tyre in the UK is the Avon CR6ZZ 245-60-15 & you can get them off the shelf at http://www.imagewheels.co.uk/pages/prices_tyres.html

Longstone Tyres *may* have a few pirelli P7 295-55-15's but they are not readily available.

Thanks Julian about the Avons. Does anyone know if those tires are stocked in the USA as I had no luck finding them?

Just received my Dunlop Qualifier T's today - they look to be a good hunk of rubber. Worthy of a GT40 for sure.

Will mount them to the wheels next week and let you know how they fit.

For information, i have bought two Yokohama AVS tyres, they are 285/40*15 and looks fine on my GTD40...

W rated tires are higher speed rated than Z rated tires.
