The wheel sits smack in the middle of the wheel well, and after setting alignment to 0 toe front, 1/16 toe in rear, -.5 camber all around, +4.5 castor front, +2 deg. castor rear, she rides really nice and linear. We're putting her on the scales next to set corner weights.

The adjustability of this setup is a fantastic plus. Also, the system feels more free to move and so it feels like the suspension is finally working back there.

Talking Re: New A-Arm Kit

Hi Veek,

About stability under braking from 140mph, with the stock suspension there are wild swings in rear camber and less but still substantial changes in toe under hard braking. It's even visable at normal road speeds over bumps that would momentarily lift the rear. This was evident in video from cameras mounted on the doors, pointing at the wheels.

As Bob mentioned, he saw a great improvement in stability just by adding the Lower A-Arm Kit to the back end. Pat also noticed the same and Pete's confidence in the car went way up. The new Steel Uprights also help the situation of course.

There isn't much you can do with the old Cape Advanced Vehicle (pre Autofutura) A-Arms to get away from the flex and binding of the rubber bushes.

The good news is that CAV Canada has a sale on for a limited time. Plus the part has been modified to make it easier to set up.

In the pictures you can see the latest version of the Reversed Lower A-Arms have new shock absorber mounts to give more shock travel and some subtle reposition of the tubing to give more range in the toe adjustment. Also the quality of the tig welding is a thing of beauty in itself.

All around a great part, our first upgrade part for the "Series 100" cars and single biggest improvement you can make.

The CAV Canada Reversed Lower A-Arm Kit sells for 890.00 per arm, including the toe adjusting rod end, genuine Aurora Monoballs, hardware and choice of Aluminum Metallic or Black paint. This is for retro-fit to the stock cast uprights as the strengthened lower clevis pin mounts are supplied with.

In a package with the new Steel Rear Uprights you save 110.00 per arm with discount as the clevis mounting blocks are not used.

So the deal with 10% discount for Forum members drops the pair of arms down by 178.00 net 1602.00 before shipping. That's our lowest price a pair for the stock rear upright application!

Cheers
