New ZF Shifter

Hi guys,

Here's the new CAV shifter for center shift ZF equipped cars. This is bolt-in part that replaces the stock unit. This also is the way we're going on new ZF applications and Getrag upgrades.

Combined with the firewall blanking panel, interconnecting shift rods and u-joints you have a very precise working part with no donor parts or compliance from rubber and spring loaded components in the shifter assembly.

There will be a Right Hand Drive version of the part released next week. It will allow right hand drive cars with center shift to be converted to right hand shift as per the original GT40, without cutting and welding as our previous part required.

The plates and shift lever arm are CNC cut, the bushing are custom PTFE and the selector shaft is hardened steel. Parts are being made now, great upgrade for a winter project

Re: New ZF Shifter

Hi Chuck,

If you've got a ZF setup with intermediate shaft supported by a rod end or hanger bearing at the firewall then it will adapt up to those shafts and you're ready to roll. If your car has the one piece shaft from the shifter to the hanger bearing on the motor mount then you need our complete ZF Shifter kit. Please give me a ring on the toll free and I can help you out further.

Cheers

Re: New ZF Shifter

Hi Guys,

Here's more pics of the shifter in a car. By moving the u-joint on the intermediate shaft inboard we can get moe clearance around front accessory drives and the change to 5/8 u-joints and 1/2 rods save a lot of space and weight too.

The product is finally ready to ship It is meant for pre 100 cars set up for ZF or upgrading from Getrag to ZF.

Cheers
