ignition upgrade

I put in the ignition switch relay upgrade from VIP today,5 minute exercise and a lot of peace of mind. Do not forget to do this if you have an early car,it is too simple and cheap not to.

Hi Chuck,

Early CAV here. What is this upgrade? A relay so there's less amps running through the ignition switch??

Hi Cliff,

Roy can fix you up with it. Basically a relay is added beside to the ignition switch to take off the headlight circuit load. This was corrected a the factory part way through the first 100 cars, I believe from #80 up but don't quote me on that. All CAV Canada cars have been upgraded.
