seat belts

I want to convert to 3 point seat belts on MONO14, do any of you know what units are used in CAV's? They look generic, however the console mounted part has to be shorter than your typical car since the seat is mounted so low. Any ideas? chuck

Re: seat belts

Hi Chuck,

We can supply hardware for a five point system which uses the original mounting points on the CAV monocoque plus one additional in the floor for the anti submarine belt. There is another shoulder belt anchor point under the carpet on the firewall ready to use.

A competition belt system on a road car really is cheap insurance if you happen to have an off road excursion...

Here's pics of a set in one of our customer cars. Hope that helps

Re: seat belts

I really want to go to the 3 point retractable set up as I find myself not using the racing belts since they are a pain in the ass. I realize it is smart to use them but even though the 3 point set up is not quite as effective, it is better than not putting on a 5 point system. My Daytona has the ratractables and I always use them.
