Road trip to west coast - car related must do's

Hi all

Going on my honeymoon at the beginning of August for 3 weeks and we are doing a fly drive along the west coast of the US. We are starting our trip in San Francisco then heading to Yosemite then back to Monterey and down the coast to LA. We finish the trip in Las Vegas.

So what I need to know is what car things should I do while I am in the states. I've never been to the west coast before and want to make sure I check off any must see car places, museums, shows etc.

Turns out that Monterey car week is on while we are there so what events in particular should I make an effort to go to, Pebble Beach concours etc.

Also I love shows like desert car kings so are there any similar style places like this that I could visit and maybe find myself my next restoration project :)

Unsure of where at the moment but MV Rum Runner might have slipped out of
the marina last week while I was away in Ibiza. I know he was

I'll be at four of the matches including Chester-lee-Street so if you are
dithering about getting a ticket, you can actually have a drink of bubbly
from the cooler in our car and a smoked salmon butty during the lunch breaks,
and really important , meet the poneyeradicator in person. Me.

Murdered soldier Lee Rigby will 'burn in hellfire' and those who killed him should be considered martyrs, hate preacher Anjem Choudary has said in a poisonous rant on film.
The extremist maintains that despite being executed in barbaric circumstances the 25 year old father of one deserves no sympathy because he is a 'non-Muslim'.

It is yet another vile outburst by Choudary, who insists on using Drummer Rigby's murder to stir up hatred, but police will still not arrest him.

'So as an adult non-Muslim, whether he is part of the Army or not part of the Army, if he dies in a state of disbelief then he is going to go to the hellfire. That�s what I believe so I�m not going to feel sorry for non-Muslims.'
Choudary went on that the British Government is to blame for Lee Rigby's death, which is a 'drop in the ocean'.
'I think you need to blame the people who are inciting and who are radicalising these youths, which is really the British government.

'You need to take into account the hundreds of thousands of incidents of people slaughtered, of weddings bombed, of Muslims tortured, of innocent people kept in prison for over ten years.'
Yesterday the two men accused of killing Lee Rigby Two men made separate appearances in court charged with his murder.

Michael Adebolajo, 28, of Romford, Essex, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court, while Michael Adebowale, 22, appeared at the Old Bailey.

He also attacked the charity Help for Heroes, which helps care for injured British soldiers, saying they cannot he heroes because they 'shoot children in Afghanistan'.
Choudary has continually refused to condemn the killers of Lee Rigby, the British drummer crushed by a vehicle and then hacked to death with machetes.
He even suggested that �one man killed in a street� was hardly proper vengeance for those killed by �Britain and the U.S.' in wars overseas.

Equine Squatters!

Oh joy!

Just discovered that someone (you can probably guess from which segment of 'society' they are from), has kindly lifted our five bar gate from its hinges (so as to avoid cutting the chain) and deposited two Ponies in our paddock. Then the sods had the temerity to refit the gate and wrap a chain and lock around the hinged end of the gate and placed a 100 gallon steel water trough across the gate entrance, removing our abilty to access our own land!

All this made possible, because the owners of the Ponies know full-well, that the Police will not intervene in what they call a 'Civil Matter'.

Now I must track down the owner and ask him/her, ever-so-politely, to remove his animals. IF I can find someone willing to admit their ownership, do I expect them to comply? Not really. Such is life I guess.

I suppose that now these Ponies are on my land (which neighbours a major road), I will become responsible if they damge themselves or anyone else, or their property. If they break out through the fairly rickety old fencing and onto the road, causing a major road accident, will I be the one held accountable? Probably! Must I therefore shell out �10K to erect suitably safe fencing? Perhaps I should pop up their daily to feed, water a groom the little lovies!!!???
