With my wife, Lona, and I this begins our Thread to share with all the build of our RCR40 Mark I. Our main helper will be my 13 year old son, Damien, with, I'm sure, occasional support from my 14 year old daughter, Brianna.

The car is right-hand drive and shift, with the doors and 2'' rear guards "factory" installed by Fran. With the 302 SBF, probably topped by a 4B Holley, I'm considering using a G96, although always open to suggestions.

The best part is that the RCR40 was loaded yesterday in Michigan and it's on it's 2,400 mile journey to Murrieta, California. The attached pics were taken by Darin (thank you!) at RCR yesterday. The pic in the trailer is to better show the 2" guards. I'm using United Road as the carrier as they have been trying to get with RCR so I thought I'll be the test.:uneasy: I'll report on how they do.

We're possibly buying a new home nearby so the build will, at best, start slowly, but I'll keep all informed.

in the beginning as they say, my son bought a chassis, suspension, brakes.
from the previous owner, I think he was called Keith Baker? He lives overseas
now so I am going to help with the build.

he did a fine job of covering the interior with a fine layer of Carbon fibre material.

I am fitting the suspension to the chassis, I sourced the rose joints from McGill,
but need 2 spacers per rose joint, could someone let me know where I can buy these or will I have to get some made?

Just received the latest magazine, and having thought the massive front roll bar was impressive, now I wonder if the front section should be removed!
