DRB #35

I've been converting my car from carb to 8 stack EFI, and

have finally tackled the fuel system. This is Version 3.0!

#s 1 and 2 were scrapped, due to brain failure on my part.

Talk about putting a square peg in a round hole! I should

have the ECU done and the car fired up in about two weeks.

This has been killing me, as I haven't been able to drive

the car since November! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif Soon, I hope! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

One more.

The HP pump and changeover valve went below deck. I tried

every which way to get everything on top, but no joy

(Versions 1 & 2). In photo #1, notice that I flipped the

throttle bodies around 180 degrees, to get the fuel lines

further away from the exhaust. It worked out perfectly!

It's a VERY tight fit between the front of the rails, and

the plug wires. + or - 2mm!

Hi Bill.

Been there done that, bought the T-shirt! Pic attached is CAV MONO Chassis #55. We put in a Ford Racing 347 longblock, 8 Stack Injection and Weber Computer from Wayne at Very Cool Parts hooked up to a ZF 5sp from Lloyd at RBT.

After many many hours of fiddling around and countless revisions we arrived at a relatively simple setup. That's easier to say than do with Twin Tanks, Two Low Pressure Pumps, Two Fuel Filters, Two One Way Valves, Surge Tank, High Pressure Pump, Injector Rails, Pressure Regulator, Selectable Fuel Return Valve (return to same tank pulled from) and all the AN fittings, braided hose!!!

Since the pictures been taken we've revised the routing of the cross feed between the Fuel Rails but it's been quite an adventure. I know the SDS system is easier to set up than most. Your car looks great, good luck with the rest of it:)

Looks great Bill.

I think in the long run all that time and effort will certainly pay off.

Here's my set up.
