Spal fans, in my opinion, are one of the most efficient fans on the market
by moving the most CFM for each given size and depth of fan.
In addition I suggest adding a shroud to optimize the ability of the Spal
fan to move more air thru your radiator.

| Re: MDA GT40 MK1 in Wales, UK Hi
I have visited the MDA web forum and see you have a problem with your sway bar and drop links, the setup you show in your pictures does not look at all correct everythig looks too close together,we purchased are sway bars and blades from RallyDesign and made our own drop links. The sway bars are identical to the ones you have but we have cut our blades to the correct length.Have you got the problem sorted out yet.? To be honest I haven't a clue!
Maybe some of the more technically minded members on the Forum can give you the answer. |

| Re: MDA GT40 MK1 in Wales, UK Hi Alastair!
I'm wondering about your engine...what kind of a brand does your oil pan have?
I've started measuring and I won't be able to fit my original Ford 302 oil pan, because of the bar under the engine, if you know what I mean. I've started to look after an oil pan that has rear sump.
What I would like to know is, if I you are supposed to use the original oil pan.
Best regards
Daniel |

| Re: MDA GT40 MK1 in Wales, UK I've started to install the main wiring loom and the brake lines. Photo below shows installations, so far, in the engine bay.
I've done 356 hours of build time on her, up to now. |

| Re: MDA GT40 MK1 in Wales, UK Hi Alastair!
I just wonder if you have started working on your handbrakes and especially your cables. I have some troubles with them. If you have some picture on this I would appreciate it a lot if you posted them.
Thanks and best regards

| Re: MDA GT40 MK1 in Wales, UK Daniel,
I've trial fitted the handbrake lever itself and installed the primary activating cable and wiring through the rear bulkhead. You can just make them out in the above photo.
I'm waiting delivery of my actual rear brake setup, including the handbrake calipers. MDA are working on it just now.
As soon as I install them I will post some photos.
Regards
Alastair |
