Welcome - and congrats !

No. 72 ? A touch of dislexia & you get mine - No 27 ! My, how the years roll on !

What's the plan for getting rego with a 347 in QLD ? I know QLD is far more sensible than NSW, but do you have a limited "window of opportunity" for rego (rolling rules on age of engine, etc) ?

Power plants in Kabul ?? Perhaps we should all put some pressure on Peter Ransom to finish your car extra fast - then you can come back home & manage a real power plant !!

YOU WILL HAVE FUN !!!!!!!

Kind Regards,

Peter D.

I have been told by Peter that to register with a windsor the process must be started before the end of 2007,7 years after the last of the AU111.Figuring on a slow build because of my work roster,14 weeks on 2 off but should make every trip back to Brissy that much more exciting

G'day Pete,I live at Thorneside.Hope to be home Bathurst weekend,if so will be attending the sausage sizzle at DRB's on Sat.Was at DRB when yours came back from getting registered and the quality of yours was a contributing factor in my choice for a turn key(plus working on the other side of the globe).

GT40's are like children - they start out so funny looking but end up beautiful and your pride and joy. I am so jealous. Can't wait to see the build as it progresses.

Cheers

Hoppy, I see that your interests are pretty close to mine. And Thorneside is not to far away from where I live, so I hope to catch up and share a beer or two, or three.

Good progress to date I'll check it out for you Saturday.
If you are in Albany Creek anytime call in and see a slow build (took 3 years to build motor)May ease the pain of waiting for yours.

Very nice looking chassis. What size wheels and tires are you planning? And what color are you going with?

Congrats

Thanks Bill,"at this stage",will be running 17x9 and 18x12 chrome Simmons.Am going with a red/black/chrome theme so will be bright red with the full blackout treatment,no centre stripe but with sill stripes and all fittings chromed (latches, fuel caps etc).

Hoppy your paint scheme sounds good, PR will do a real nice job aswell.
Looking forward to seeing more updates.

In answer to the question "what is happenning with the floor",due to my limited time that I spend in Brisbane I had not seen a chassis in the flesh, only completed cars, therefore I did not know the visual difference between standard lowered and super lowered floor. The pics sent of the chassis back from the powdercoaters (super lowered floor) where in fact not my car but one of the many others that PR has on the go at the moment.
To the eagle eyed gentlemen that spotted this and PM'd me"well done" and thank you for pointing this out. It's all new to me and with constant monitoring of these forums I am learning a little each day.
