Yes Ron, they are the same as is on Bill and Sandy's rides, but trimmed way down.
Randy, I widened the rear track of the car. My hope is that the combination of widening the track width and triming the flares way down will be the happy medium. That sexy look with out having to have the steam roller wheels.
Thanks for the comments.
Headin back out to the shop... |

Will break out the foam in the morning. |

This is the plan for how they will come from HRA.
The dimensions will actually be the same, as the LH drive will be a mirror image with some of the bends reversed. The dryer will be on the opp. side, as will the condenser fittings and tubes. |

Rep Power: 12 | Re: Rob's RCR40 Build OK....the flares are nearly complete. Made the clay molds last weekend, made glass pieces this weekend. Installed... fill work started. Hopefully can finish the filler work in the evenings after work, so I can spray and sand primer this weekend. (Want to make the most of the bonus day)
Also, glassed in the NACA ducts in the front clip last weekend. |

Randy,
Sorry mate...didn't really want to make the first set...
Re the AC lines, the flare is a single for an O ring seat. It is not one that I am capable of making. Don't know what the flare tool even looks like for it. It came pre flared.
Dalton,
Glad to hear you like it. It was a tough debate....it was that or those ugly hood pin things at the top. I think this will be just as affective for a fraction of the price. |

| Re: Rob's RCR40 Build No worries on the fiberglass flares..
On the new AC Line - is that the one now available from RCR? I really did not like the earlier design either.. |

Rep Power: 6 | Re: Rob's RCR40 Build Rob, I could have saved you a lot of work. I make the flare extensions that go on the rocker panels. I'm surprised that they didn't come with the fender flares. When I supply the "Gulf" fender flares, I supply the rocker panel flares too. I'm in the process of casting moulds off some "Gulf" flares with the wheel arch lip that is turned out. These were off an original car with the widest wheels.
