RCR Build Times

Hello all, A friend of mine is looking at purchasing a RCR GT40 and he wants me to do the project for him. Just curious about build timelines, if anyone would care to share them with me. I'm also curious about what is the preferred transaxle to use. The engine will most likely be a 347 with stack injection.
I appreciate and help or direction.
Thank you!

Hi Terry
welcome to the forum.

its very subjective depending upon the use of the kit.

We have a couple of repeat builders that can complete them in around 300-325 hrs, we have customers that enjoy the journey and spend many years on their builds.

I would say that for your first then at least 400hrs is more realistic including paint and body

The best transaxle for a GT40 of any description is the ZF really but the RCRC can accommodate the ZF, Porches based transaxle and even the Audi 016/01E transaxles.

Feel free to give us call and we can walk you through may of the options

Thank you Fran, Do you supply a assembly book with the car? If so, Is it something I could purchase separate? That way I can begin studying up to prepare myself.
Thanks again!
Terry
