MK II, windscreen wiper mechanism

I am currently building a MKII and in the interests of authenticity wonder if anyone could cast any light on which windscreen wiper mechanism to use? technical@gsm.co.za

The wiper motor and arm were from 707's and Heuy's. Lee Holman can supply them or you may find them at an avation junkyard.

Re: MK II, windscreen wiper mechanism

Hi guys, I think the 707 wiper system was around £1200 used the last time i looked. If you require a wiper that works, single spindle two speed with aprk facility compact design, the tyep I use on the mark ones is orase joint linked and uses a lightweight modern motor. The whole thing weighs 4lb and costs £160 plus shipping. It has a stainless out spindle that carries a 8mm fixing for most types of Wiper Arm. It has a 127 degree sweep, perfect fo a GT40 screen If you require I can send a pic.

All the best
