Forgot to add that the engine is brand new (just 200 miles on it) and cost over £10,000 to build.

Martin...I'm sure you realise that even when you sell your car, you are still expected to attend the paddock in your shiny silver romper suit!! Seriously, I hope that this will not prevent you from coming out to play this season.Whoever purchases your car will get themselves a little gem.

Martin,

can you give me the specs on your wheels - backspacing,
17x??, etc. Are the rear arches flared a little, or does
the backspacing allow the 335s to fit with minimal
hassle? Interested in selling it minus engine? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Seriously, I think for the price, it's a great deal
for someone in the UK. This car is well sorted and has
lots o' goodies. And it's only been raced gently /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Ian,

The front tyres are 235 45 ZR 17
The rear tyres are 335 35 ZR 17

The arches are not gulf flares - the wheel offsets allow using such big tyres without having to adjust the arches.

As for selling the car without engine, I would prefer to sell as a complete package but would consider this option. Price without engine is £40,000.

Martin

Martin,

One more question if I may: what are the offsets and
the actual wheel dimensions? I wasn't serious about
selling it minus engine - which is what I would have
to do if I wanted it shipped to the US. That would
make it very expensive.

Thanks again,

Ian

Ian,

I realised you weren't serious about buying without the engine (the wink gave it away!) but this was an option I had considered if people wanted to do a deal on this basis based in Europe - hence the post to let anyone else know.

Regarding the offsets, I do not have this info to hand so will have to get back to you on that.

Cheers, Martin

Martin,

Why on earth would you want to sell such a superb car?

Regards,

J.P

I hope you're not losing the faith dear man!

Thanks again Martin. I wish I could buy it, with or wihtout
engine, but bringing it here would be a mess.

OK well thanks anyway. I hope all is well with you. It must be very hard to part with such a fine car. I hope in time you can do another one. We all learn so much from the first one that a second is a dream many must have.
