DRB (GT40 Australia)
1966 Ford GT40

Great news for anyone interested in a well sorted out GT40. After some difficult deliberation, I have decided to put my baby up for sale. I currently have another project car in progress and cannot support two dream cars.

This is a stunning red GT40 registered in Florida and built by Colin Dazell. Colin had a very well documented build on his site but I think that was recently pulled down. I will have a copy of the build for any interested buyer.

The mileage is 6,069 and is in beautiful shape. Some major and minor changes, improvements and fine tuning have been done since I purchased this vehicle. See below for some of the descriptions. Price is $72k obo, more pictures will be added, you can email me or call 239-633-6633.

Hi All,

I need to move this sale along. I can post additional pics or email them to you. I have a excellant covered transporter that I can arrange delivery at $.95/mile. I am also willing to reduce the price to $67,000. This is a good deal. Most of you know that the parts alone usually exceed this price. In fact, on this build the documented materials cost is in excess of $82k.

Also, does anyone have any thoughts on other advertising locations. I have enjoyed this forum so much, I wanted to sell the car here. I found this car here in fact, but it was also on Hemming's and Cobra Country.

TC, maybe a long shot but perhaps you could give the establishment that is the local Superformance dealer a try for a consignment sale? The local Superformance dealer here in Seattle sells used exotic cars on consignment of all types. Your car looks fantastic, and, being a complete and registered car for a whole lot less $$ than a Superformance roller (sitting right next to it in the showroom) you might just have a quick sale.

Please show some interior pics, also is it gulf flared in the rear? Can you post an angled front photo?

Thanks Cliff, great idea, but a little shy on sending it from FL to the other coast.

Hey Jonathan and rstallare, here are a few photos, I will try to get some better pics in tomorrows daylight. The knob on the dash to the far left is a lean/rich Airfuel control connected to the SDS Engine Management system and the box on the seat is the full and disconnectable systems setting controller.

I have completely redone all of the black trim around the lights and windows and you can see one example of that in the front headlight. The interior door panels have a stitched GT40 emblem in the red panel surround.

Jonathan, not sure if this was an angle you were looking for, if not, just describe it a little more and I will get it tomorrow.

TC,
Thanks for the additional pics. For the front angled shot, can you take another at car level? The car looks amazing.

how far is Ft. Myers from the orlando area..
I will be heading to florida 3-22-08 thru 3-29-08 and I would like to take a look..

Yup, sorry for any delay in updating this thread. The Gt40 was sold to a very nice gentleman in Wisconsin. Coordinating delivery right now. I think it was a great buy, course I am biased, but also pretty darn aware of all its attributes. The new project car (930) should arrive in a few weeks so the passion still goes on. I have really enjoyed all of the posts on this forum, great bunch of individuals. Be well to all. Tony
