Re: Rcr gt40 # 14 for sale

Ron - There's a fella on the ffcobra forum looking to purchase a GT40 (look in the Off topic - other cars section)..

Couple other things you might want to mention:
What displacement is the engine?
Heater / Airconditioning?
Will it run on 92 Octane?

Good luck with the sale. I've always thought that GT40 was one of the best looking ones I'd seen over the years. Really looks the part.

Beautiful car and sorry to hear you are parting ways. I would seriosuly consider this car, but alas it has come a little early for me.

For a couple reasons I made a consious decision to sell my current GT40 and purchase a later version and was thinking of a CAV as they have the best headroom. Your RCR is most definitely a lot of car for the money, but there is still some work to do on my current 40 to get it to a saleable condition so it will be a while before I can commit to a replacement.

Re: Rcr gt40 # 14 for sale

Ron-
That's a great car and I'm sure it will sell soon! You're running about 110 horses per liter on pump gas. That's certainly very possible with the right specs. If at some point it fits into the sale process, please consider posting the specs on the engine. I'm collecting information for the 5 liter I'll be putting together for an MKI.
Thanks,
Steve

Re: Rcr gt40 # 14 for sale

I can't believe your car is for sale Ron, so sorry to see you've got to let it go. This is by far my favourite GT40 on here, it's a simply stunning machine and a real credit to you.

Good luck with the sale and I hope everything works out.

I've seen this car, and met Ron. It is beautifully built, it is formidably fast, and the new owner is going to have himself some high old times.

Ron, you will go through GT40 withdrawal- a very serious medical condition- so you will have a standing invitation to drive mine when you wish. It won't be as fast as yours, though.

Re: Rcr gt40 # 14 for sale

Ron,

Sorry to hear that you're parting with your pride - are you going to have it at the Carlisle show on 5/22/2010?

Ron,

I have got to say you along with Bill D and Dean's RCR40's you guys have been my inspiration towards my RCR order. I am saddened that you guys have chose to sell these fine cars, but I hope to be able to inspire others along the way as you have for me. I understand life has its changes though.

Happy motoring Sir.

Re: Rcr gt40 # 14 for sale

Ron's car at Carlisle yesterday...

I took two videos but I am not up with how to post them. From outside at idle and from inside the car moving. This is one really smoking car...:shocked::shocked:

That primal sound of NASCAR engine roar...!:shocked::shocked:
