Some "found" GT40 pictures....

Some \"found\" GT40 pictures....

My Grandfather was involved with SA back in the day. Discovery Channel asked me to scan some images for an upcoming special, so I thought you guys might like to see a few. I found some interesting stuff, including photos of original conceptual GT40 drawings and a cheesy clay mock-up photo.

And yes, I'm a newbie (here) but took my driving test in a '65 GT350 with 5 point belts in 1978. So... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hello,

I think Gandini had the same drawings when he designed the Miura ...

Excellent anyway !!!

Re: Some \"found\" GT40 pictures....

Jim,

I live right across US50 from you in Rosemont. No 40 yet,
but when the house remodel is done, and we sell it off to
buy a bigger house with a bigger garage, that should all
change.

Next time we have a Norcal 40 get together (usually in San Ramon)
we should get together and head down. Howard is the gracious
host, and Faili, Bud and many others show.

Re: Some \"found\" GT40 pictures....

Wish I could join you for the races (was there something going
on last weekend?) but Memorial Day weekend is around our
Wedding Anniversary (5 years this year).

Now I think we really need to make an official NorCal 40's
club (or GT40s.com NorCal chapter). The numbers seem to be
climbing, both members and vehicles.

Ian
