Definitive GT40 Book?

A newbie here - is there a single definitive GT40 book out there that has the best detail photographs and history. I am talking about a book that is in print and accessible. Is there one book that stands out from the rest?

I am looking to buy/build a car and would like a reference.

Hard to go wrong with Ronnie Spain's book.
And you can get it softcover now for $ 25.
www.motorbooks.com among others carries it.

But considering the cost...I'd buy others as well such
as John Allen's, which has great color photos.

I'd echo the Ronnie Spain in paperback - tho' I guess it depends on exactly what you want it for - a set of SAE papers might be an alternative !

I ordered the Spain book from Motorbooks - 24.95 - I have used them before with good results. I don't do ebay, but thanks for the offer Tom.

I have used the SAE connection before - thanks for that tip. I will look into the Allen book as well.
