If you don't want to pull out your "Wiring for Dummies" book if you want to double check that wiring harness or new circuit you are adding, Powerstream.com has a great tool on the web. There is table for AWG/Metric wire sizes and load carry capabilities. There is also a voltage drop calculator if you want to sanity check or diagnose a circuit on the car.
