Rep Power: 9 | halibrands I have been looking at using the Halibrand wheel on my GT40.
Their does seem to be variations between manufacturers & all claiming they are GT40 wheels.
I think some are Cobra wheels rebadjed.
Does anyone have pics of what I should be looking for.
Thanks Jim. |

Your right, there is a Halibrand that was designed for Cobra's and is similar and to the untrained eye it may not be distinguishable. But once you see the difference you will always notice.
As best I can describe the difference, the Cobra design has a "flat" web whereas the GT40 is "rounded" with a slightly different shape opening. Hope this helps. |

Iwas at PS engineering last week, I think Phil would be able to help you.
He has GT40,Cobra,BRM,Minilites and lots of others. It would be worth while contacting him.
