Thumbs up Looking for some shocks/springs for my CAV

Hi guys,
I'm a newbie at this and just took delivery of Chassis #129 as a kit. Due to circumstances I must move soon and need to get the car on the ground. I've ordered wheels and tires but need shocks/springs. Factory sent me the following specs:

Spax #GA66 AP with 450 LBx 8 springs for the front and 600 x 8 for the rear

I need to get some asap but cant find a source in US. Willing to go with Bilstein or Koni units but need part numbers. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Viper Yellow with Black twin stripes, gulf wide body--pics to follow as soon as I figure out how to post properly.

Contact Steve Duck at RCD Suspension in El Cajon. He is a Bilstein Specialist who specializes in "car specific" shock/spring combos. I found him very helpful in getting the right combo for my GTD. He is at 619 588 4723 ext 109 or e mail at . Good luck on getting sorted.

Re: Looking for some shocks/springs for my CAV

Bruce - when I've needed to move a racecar chassis around (roller) and have yet to select shocks and springs, I just weld a short piece of flat steel to both ends of a length of 1" tubing, drill holes in the steel to put the shock bolts through. Viola! It's now able to roll on it's own wheels.
If you spend the time to engineer these pieces to the correct ride height for the car, you can also use them for setup purposes such as alignment..
