Steering wheels for GTD

I own a GTD that is fitted with a quick release Sparco steering wheel. I would like to fit an original equiptment wheel which I belive is a Mota Litta 14 inch. Can anyone confirm this and the best supplier of one and finally if it will fit the same quick release boss?
I would also love to know if anyone recognises the name of the colour from the picture I have uploaded?

Re: Steering wheels

Scott,
You need the Moto-Lita 14" GT40 wheel, available in black or dark blue. (01264 772811)
The price is £117.00+VAT and delivery is about 3 weeks, as the metal blanks have to be sent away for hard anodising before the leather can be sewn on.
The mounting pattern is 6-bolt, which will hopefully fit your Sparco adapter. A correct mounting boss is available from Frank Catt for £40.

Re: Steering wheels for GTD

Scott,

Have one too as Tony mentionned.
The orginal was 14' but I took a 13' as it a big one.
I also took the dark blue as said being the original color on P1075.
Recommend Moto Litta as great stuff but a bit expensive.

Success

Re: Steering wheels for GTD

Thanks to Tony and Fred, the stud pattern looks right so I will buy one and hope it fits the quick release steering boss i currently have.
As a point of interest I have unearthed a calendar I was given 20 years ago that was produced for Ford with images of cars across it's history with a particular leaning towards it's racing heritage. July's image is of a red GT40 and it is also the cover car. Other cars in the calendar include a Cobra, RS200 and a big arched rally escort. The copy I have was distributed by Hendy Lennox, the Ford main agent in Southampton. Sorry I can' post the photo I have just taken of it as my PC will not let me attach the image.

Re: Steering wheels for GTD

Did anyone have any ideas on what the particular name the colour of my car is?

Re: Steering wheels for GTD

Scott,
All I can tell from the small thumbnail is that it looks a darkish blue. A bigger image may help...
