Rep Power: 24 | GTD rear drum to discbrake conversion I'm working my way through a conversion on my rear uprights.
It seems to me the drum and disc rear uprights are the sale basic design (although I stand to be corrected here) and I have removed the weld-on plate that the drum braked hubs were attached to. I have had laser cut a couple of 120mmsq 6mm plates with 85mm holes in them. The plan is to mount the disc brake hubs on these with scorpio cosworth calipers and vented discs.
Before I commit and have the plates welded to the uprights, if anyone has experience of a conversion like this or can see any glaring errors, PLEASE feel free to post here.
Also, if anyone has any close ups of GTD uprights fitted with disc brakes, they'd be much appreciated.
Simon

looks good to me. The only thing I would check is how the hanbrake cable will be routed to the caliper. On my Tornado, it passes through the fabricated upright
