Does size matter ?

i am searching for a 0.7 master cylinder, i found 2 on car builder solutions,
one with Reservoir and one without.
which one should i get ?
does the reservoir size matter? how?

Yes

When the brake pads are down to the backing plates you must still have fluid in the master cyl res.

Only one thing worse than no pads.
No pads and no fluid.

Remote reservoirs are readily available if it is to small.

Bike looks good(gulf)

What Jim says. Although I would hope the fluid level would be checked and topped up at least a couple of times between new pads and stuffed pads!!

Plus I always prefer my reservoirs above the level of the calipers which if you've got floor mounted pedals dictates a higher remote reservoir. Not essential but I always think it's better to have gravity helping you, rather than hindering.

I used the smaller resovoirs on my Tiltons. With the master mounted at the floor and the resovoirs about 18" above that just the hoses running down hold quite a bit of fluid. Plus with 2 separate resovoirs you have double the fluid for the system. You can also add as the pads wear down.

You could probably do a calc to see your piston volume compared to resovoir, or just ask Tilton or whoever. They will advise you on bore diameters I'm sure they will advise on resovoir size also.
