DIY. pedals.

I have just purchased, from a member, a set off S.S. pedals...to those who have constructed their own...I want to modify the lower pivot point to accept a ball or roller bearing with hardened pin assembly...can you advise me on what type of bearings you used.
Cheers Eddie.

Re: DIY. pedals.

Eddie:
I would use a Torrington style needle bearing, I believe they also sell the hardened shafts.
Very reliable bearing.
Here is a link: Torrington products distributed by Dalton Bearing Service Inc
Cheers
Phil

Re: DIY. pedals.

roller/ball bearings might be considered a bit much for this application. What does it have now and have you considered bronze bushings?
