powder coat brake calibers

Anyone tried this. I will have to totally disassemble them before taking to the coaters and buy new rebuild kits.

I,m intrigued as to why you need to keep repainting your calipers? Do you park in water, or use acidic wheel cleaning fluid and not clean it off quickly.

the reason for repaint is around the bleed screws the paint comes off, the caliber paint doesn't really adhere to casting. I have cleaned them with brake cleaner and it still flakes off. It appears the high end calibers like wilwood and Brembo are all powder coated.

Cerakote is a thin coating and the spray-on type will not last long. A proper cerakote
coating requires media blasting and is heat cured.

Hi All
Clean the calipers thoroughly with solvent that does not leave any residue and then sand blast them and spray with high temp caliper paint which will not be affected by the brake fluid.
I did this to mine 8 years ago and they are still like new.
