It depends on so many things - cam, compression ratio, ... Even if by standard you mean stock (i.e., as removed from a vehicle), it would vary because they have been used in different applications - a truck engine would typically have more low-end torque but less horsepower than, say, a Mustang engine.
It's easy to get 325+ horsepower out of a 302. A stock engine from the 70s would probably make less than 200 because they were more worried about emissions at that time than making power. A 'built' engine can make 500+ horsepower, and then things start to break... |
