427 high nickel block

Does anyone know about a 427 sideoiler block that was made with a high nickel content. It was a race only block and positioned between the steel and nodular iron blocks. I have a chance to buy a couple but they are bored way over what I know as the maximum you can bore a 427, .050 and .080.

Usually they have HM cast next to the pan rail. Before you buy have an ultra sound run on the cylinder walls, that will tell you how much "meat" you have left. Most machine shops can do this service, I think its called sonic mapping. If you don't want all the blocks I would be interested in one or two, Wayne

Yeah, Wayne, just what you need, more motors! I think you already have the Guinness Book of World Records "Big Block Ford Engines" category nailed. A few more and you'll need another warehouse!
