What about an engine from a Falcon? My engine was a 5.0L Falcon overrun engine. They are identical, basically, to our Mustang 5.0L engines. The only difference in mine was that the intake was turned the wrong way round. For you this shouldn't be an issue at all. I don't know if they put 94-95 upper intakes on them, but would the officials know the difference if you did this? It fits well under the rear deck. The upper from 94/95 is much lower than our 87-93. If you haven't already explored this, I would definitely give it a shot. I don't know what other vehicles had this engine, but if it is only the Falcon, then you would be golden, or would the Aussie requirements be acceptable in NZ for emissions control for any vehicle?
