Rover engined GT40

Is anyone in the UK in the process of building a Rover V8 engined GT40?

Lotus and GKN/Vanwall put a Rover V8 engine (4.4l) with four Webers and a ZF transaxle into a modified Lotus Europa. So I don't see why you shouldn't be able to put one in a GT40 replica.

Tony Marsh has one with a couple of hair dryers fitted to the exhaust system.

Re: Rover engined GT40

With Ford's part ownership of Landrover, its probably a reasonable choice of engines. And unlike the Windsor, it can probably also be made to meet the current emissions standards

While BMW owned Rover, they replaced the classic Rover V8 with their own V8. So now Ford is selling BMW-powered Landrovers.
