Re: Head Gasket Quiz

Most aluminum head manufactures specify a specific gasket that needs to be used with their product.

AFR's 165cc street head uses a Fel Pro #1011-2 head gasket on a 1983-93 302.

Re: Head Gasket Quiz

These are the gaskets I am currently intending using. I understand they can be re-used. The top of the block is machined for O rings. Any helpful comments or suggestions welcome.

Here are the O Rings.
Chris
What happened to your old gaskets. Was it a big problem?

Re: Head Gasket Quiz

Thx Lee ,they're thick gaskets Huh,you'll need pop up pistons or a 48cc combustion chamber to get some compression
I've had good results with Felpro 1011's-- but we didn't use them in this instance .could be a lean out/to much spark advance at high RPM resulting in a detonation problem?? still investigating.
