Re: GT40 Radiator source

I'm looking for a source and Docking has come up with £295 + VAT - I will have to check if their specifications will fit on a DAX

See Docking http://www.dockingengineering.com/

If not are there any other recommended sources?

I was told about Proalloy (who supposedly have done radiators for originals) see http://www.proalloy.co.uk/cgi-bin/si...64&id=proalloy
Their GT40 radiator looks wierd and has only 1 fan!

What is best horizontal or verticle cores? Or does it make a difference if the hoses are both at the bottom / one at the top and one bottom? How much heat dissapation is required - I certainly don't want to have to replace the radiator due to bad initial specifications at these prices!

Thanks
Ian

Re: GT40 Radiator source

Ian,

Try these guys: C&R Racing if you don't mind jumping the pond

They made a special order specific for GT40NA and had two remaining in stock.

I purchased, 2 weeks ago, one unit. They have one left @ $500 usd + freight. I have not installed it yet so I can't tell you how well it works. Alain of GT40NA (forum member) has experience with them and recommends them.

The thing I liked about it is the "cans" are on the top & bottom rather than the sides. This allows the radiator to have the inlet and outlet on the bottom and making it a 2-pass system. Typically our cars have the 'cans' on the side with the inlet and outlet at the bottom which is a single-pass radiator.
