Re: Thermostat housing

I note no bypass hose. Your thinking? I drilled a couple of small holes in the thermostats flange so that water pump pressure would be relieved when the thermostat is closed on startup.

Did you use a thermostat?

Re: Thermostat housing

Hi Howard,
Not using thermostat,I have a basic dislike for thermostats. I am intending to use a radiator shutter to control warmup. Radiator has three fans separately switched. Fingers crossed it will all work!!

Re: Thermostat housing

Hi Denis,
Toothed belt drive is a standard Gates affair. Pulleys were made from blanks. Less power consumption than Vee belt and more reliable. Scavenge and pressure pumps for dry sump system also toothed belt drive.
