Engine Identification!

Hi guys, need a bit of advice on a 351w I bought as a cut out, the cast number no. is E4AE-6015-FA-57C26 1`ve got as far as the engine coming from an `84 galaxie but not sure on wether its modified as it has a double chain drive for the camshaft, which in my book signifies a police vehicle set up?
Also i can`t work out the 4-barrel, the only number I can find where I been told to look is E5HE-9510-FA-LIGT-50252-1285. I am just about to order all parts for re-build but would hate to throw away any good parts. Any advice would be welcome.
Cheers Dave. Mk3 bodied KVA.

Re: Engine Identification!

Hi Dave

Does the timing chain look like this? as I believe this is a standard Duplex chain.

Re: Engine Identification!

If you replace the timing chain and gearset. Be sure to save the old gearset for comparison to the new. The larger gear has to match exactly on the 351 or you will have rubbing problems and destroy your motor. This was not a problem on the 289 or 302s. This looks like the stock double roller chain.
