Thermal and Friction Coatings
I'm considering having the tops of my pistons and the combustion chambers, valve faces, and intake/exhaust ports of my heads coated with a thermal protection coating. I've heard that it helps keep the heat in the combustion chamer, thus producing more HP. Any comments?

Yes. Most of the pro engine builders that competed in the Engine Masters Challenge, including Jon Kaase, the ultimate winner.
