Water pump pulley bolt size?

Ok, so I give up - - - can't seem to find the correct size! Looks like a 3/8 18, but that does not fit. 8X1.25 metric is not correct either.

So, what size do I need? [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

Water pump is the "shorty" hotrod pump from Ford.

5/16 as I recall, got a ton of them in the garage of various sizes. I'll check one here shortly and get back to you.

Wait, scratch that, you said pulley bolt, not housing bolt. I'll still check here in a bit and I think I have them. Same pump, shorty serpentine belt type.

I think they are 1/4-20 thread.

Ford #F2SE-8505-ca (shorty) use 5/16"x24 (fine thread)I have pump and tap in hand to confirm!

I finally found a tap (5/16 - 24 and ran it thru to clean them up and it works fine now!!
