EFi Diagnostics on Rover 3.9 Hotwire

Hello all

We tried to test fire the engine yesterday but she would not start.

We have spark - can hear both fuel pumps running (low pressure to swirl and high pressure to the fuel rail)

Does anyone have the diagnostic tools / connectors or whatever to check if the brain is working? Also if there are Rover heads reading this if it is dead is it better to replace the brain or go to carb?

Thanks from a rather disappointed me!
Ian

Ian,

get yourself over to the V8 Owners Forum at http://www.v-8.org.uk/forum/.

It's probably the best repository of Rover V8 knowledge on the planet and they're very friendly (they put up with me) and the guys there live RV8's.

Cheers,

Ian

She Spoke Today!

Thanks Brian and Ian

The type - I hink is the Hotwire variety - very similar to the unit in you car Brian

Ian the V8 site was great - read lots yesterday and came up with one thread that explained our problem and how to sort it.

Lunch time today we tried the Fix and she spoke up - or rather SHOUTED - gee a V8 with headers bu no silencers makes a noise but I can't stop smiling!!!!!!

Thanks again for the website
