Has anyone tried powder coating their ITB's without disassembling? I'm tempted to give it a go on one, but am thinking the heat required to cure the powder will probably cook the shaft seals.
Disassembling is the best way, I'm sure, however getting the butterflies out without damaging the shafts is always dodgy. Then getting them reassembled, and the butterflies lined up as perfectly as they were is nearly impossible.
